In writing this post I was going to illuminate everyone on the illustrious and interesting reason behind May 11th being Twilight Zone day.  But then after all of my research it turns out it’s on May 11th because…well…that’s when the marathon is.  And for me, that’s good enough!

In celebration, here is our latest version of the main menu for the game.  The elements in the tv will float around Mr. Serling while the player gets to choose from the options on the tv panel.  Kinda cool, right?  Let me know your thoughts on the new main menu (and the new Rod Serling art!)

New picture from the game.  I like this shot a lot because of the cool clouds and sun in the sky.  Also because the side of the building is neon lights that spell “Leon”, but that’s because I like saying “Neon Leon”.  That would make a great character name.  Anyway, let me know what you think about the location!

NOTE: There is no one in the game called Neon Leon. I tried and everyone (rightfully) denied that request.

While the crash landing site may be old, in the game you will investigate the mysterious circumstances of this crash.

New art before the end of the year!!! Here is an in-progress look at a photographer’s studio that we’ve been making. Looking at in-progress art is a little bit like shopping for a new house; it may be a bit sparse now but with a new touch of paint, adding a few personal knick-knacks here and there, and assembling the Ikea furniture (some of it’s SO DIFFICULT!) you can get it to look how you want.

New picture today!  We’ve been working on the characters, trying to make them look realistic but with a painted style.  Please let us know what you think about our lawyer character.

Personally I’m a big fan of the mustache (makes him look a bit like Teddy Roosevelt!) though maybe the suit is too big for him.  Leave a comment below; we’ll consider all suggestions.  Thanks!

This iconic use of Rod Serling actually did not occur until the very last episode of the first season. According to Wikipedia it’s the only one of two episodes where Rod appears at the very end (though I feel like there were more than two. Can anyone think of another one?). Here’s the scene:

And now let me do my best Rod Serling impersonation and introduce the scene.

“Imagine if you will, a run-down apartment in a run-down building in the middle of a run-down town. Four walls, a floor and a ceiling; just enough to live and nothing more. But for Gil Rendsor, the apartment was his escape from everything. For Gil created fantastic stories and characters, so vivid that you could lose yourself in them. But when you’re lost in your stories you may just take a wrong turn and end up in…The Twilight Zone.”
