The Twilight Zone Game

Still working on the game so I don’t have any art updates for you.  But I do have some interesting links from around the web.

At tgdaily.com they discuss the choice of Matt Reeves to direct the new Twilight Zone movie that is in the works.  Interesting choice.  I’m unaware of a lot of Mr. Reeves work as I did not watch Cloverfield (not a fan of shaking cameras in movies).  I saw a couple of episodes of the show Felicity which he helped write and direct.  And, looking as his imdb, he evidently co-wrote Under Siege 2.  Just a guess but I’m sure he doesn’t introduce himself as the guy who co-wrote that Steven Seagal masterpiece.  I definitely find Matt Reeves to be an unexpected choice to direct the movie but I don’t really subscribe to the Director as the auteur/grand master of film theory so I withhold judgement.

I am concerned that, allegedly, the writer of the movie will be Jason Rothernberg who is a complete no-name.  Not being an established writer does not mean that you can’t write at all…but it is an indication that you might not be able to tackle such a difficult piece as an hour and a half Twilight Zone movie.  But again, I’ll reserve judgement, unlike this rather scathing blog from the University of Kansas newspaper.

And finally, the avclub’s writer Todd VanDerWerff has two excellent reviews of the Twilight Zone episodes “The Four of Us Are Dying” and “Third from the Sun”.  I think he’s pretty spot on in his review and really hits the elements that make Third from the Sun such a classic episode.

Hi,

I thought you might find this interesting: Twilight Zone A – Z. The article includes a plug for your upcoming video game under the “G” entry.
